Portland Area Dennis Kucinich Campaign

My apologies; I am resending because there were a couple of typos in my previous posting.

I am a new member to this Meetup group but a long time supporter of Dennis Kucinich. I have been working with Kathy Bushman for several weeks.

I came for the Jan 3 Meetup which was cancelled. I intended to share a plan I had put together for the Portland area. So I waited for some folks to show up and 7 of us met at Marinos close by. I talked briefly about the plan and afterward, I was inspired to create a website for the Portland area campaign, see below.

I am flyering on Thursday and Friday, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in NW Portland, zip 97209, precinct 1053. On Friday I will be alone, I would love to have some company from one of my fellow Kucinich supporters.

Iowa and NH are behind us - we know how the country jumps on the early momentum bandwagon. There are lots of things we can do to get the word out, to not do the same old things but see each state's result as independent and let the primary really run all they way to Denver on Aug 25 to 27. And above all ignore the idiotic speculative polls of the predictocrat, political junkies, who make our candidates and our elections for Democracy, into a weekend at the race track or gambling your future away at a casino in Las Vegas.

The crapshooters Biden, Dodd and Richardson have dropped out which means Dennis is at 4th place ahead of Gravel. Clinton, Obama and Edwards have major baggage of bad voting records with them. We have to methodically gather this information and broadcast it to the Nation.

Dennis is the candidate with THE meritorious and competent record of public service and voting for the Constitution and "We the People". The whole nation knows that but are just too spineless to stand up and say it for the usual reasons of """electability"" ". Competency is the only electability factor and Dennis is it.

In 2004 the Internet was used first time by Dean and Progressive radio had just started. Four years laters we are more Internet savvy and we have more Progressive radio. By using the Internet and calling into Progressive radio systematically we can level the playing field if we approach this methodically and follow the Democratic path of keeping focus on, "Who is the most competent candidate"? and not on whether we are ready for a black President or a woman President or whether they are ready for us or whether Hillary is ready to lead. What kind of juvenile, mindless bullshit is that? That language is very patronizing and reveals that she thinks the election is about her and not 'We the People".

The next meeting is supposed to be on Feb 7th but all interested may contact us and we can get some action going. It would be great to have an earlier meeting since the last one was cancelled. If not no worries; please contact either of us. If there are sufficient numbers we can pair up by zip code and precinct and continue to put the word out.
